sorry I meant Murder Inc.

Re: Boardwalk Empire
Bit of a dull ending. Could do a spin-off ref Crime Inc. as they were known.

I believe Winter/Scorsese's next collaboration is a show about 70s jazz. Bobby Canavale is due to star.

Re: Boardwalk Empire
Not having the patients to wait I listened to a podcast on the way home and watched the end on YouTube.

Looking forward to seeing the whole episode on Saturday.

I'm just gutted they had to rush through it so much in 8 episodes. It felt like loads of corners were cut.

Stephen Graham really showed what an amazing actor he was and hope he goes on to bigger things.

End of another good series.

Still nothing has topped sopranos yet!

Re: Boardwalk Empire
It ended pretty much exactly like I expected. It does differ from history though...

Re: Boardwalk Empire
Will watch the last episode tonight. Thought the stand off on the hostage exchange was a bit weak.

Since we know historically Luciano lives on I think we know the outcome here without spoilers.

Re: Boardwalk Empire
Well, well, well...

Thoughts on the finale? I can't really say anything without spoilers. I was a little underwhelmed though. It really sucks that they had to do a shortened season + omit a whole season worth of history. It amounted to a rather rushed season.

I'm bored with this now.
As swiss says, the jock tart with the fake irish accent is tiresome.

Re: Boardwalk Empire
How good was that actor playing a young (20s) Nucky Thompson. Weird.

Re: Boardwalk Empire
Maybe the writers of Goodfellas originally stole it from Capone, seeing as he was around long before Henry Hill and his friends?

Obviously I have no idea if this is a load of old bollocks, I just like that these films/programmes are based on true stories(ish) and when you're from Hornchurch, it's great to see what sort of nutters used to roam the lands.

Not sure I appreciated Capone stealing the Joe Pesci "So you think I'm funny scene"

Re: Boardwalk Empire
Haven't watched a single episode yet as am still pining for Richard.

I've loved throughout all of the series though how Val Alden has gradually gone from god fearing lawman, to lunatic side kick of Capone.

Superb actor is that bloke.

Joey

Far too much of that Irish bitch. Defenately the weak link in the series. Terrible actress.

Re: Boardwalk Empire
How good was the last night's episode with all the Capone and Havana stuff. Just gets better.

Yep. Lots of Van Alden, Capone and Luciano makes for a great episode. Even Margaret wasn't that annoying.
